Chrysanthemum Extracts

A small chrysanthemum flower has brought about numerous poems of great popularity through the ages. Chrysanthemum tea is made of dried chrysanthemum flowers, or Chinese medical herbs with wild chrysanthemum flower as alternative. The main ingredients of chrysanthemum are essential oils (0.2%-0.85%), Adeline, choline, stachydrine, Echinacoside and flavanoids compounds. Essential oils mainly consist of Borneol, camphor, chrysanthemum ketone and acetic dipterocarpaceae whereas flavonoids consist of luteolin, Apigenin, Acacetin and so on. Besides, chrysanthemum is also rich in vitamins, amino acids, trace lements, etc. Vitamin E content in Hang Bang Ju is higher.

1. “Compendium of Materia Medica” has detailed description on medicinal effects of chrysanthemum tea: bitter and sweet in flavour, cool in nature, has effect of dispersing wind ad heat, soothing liver and improving vision.

2. “Shen Nong’s Materia Medica” believes that white chrysanthemum tea is indicated for “dizziness due to wind, swelling pain, eye strain, and necrotic skin etc. Long term consumption helps to supplement “qi”, resist fatigue and prolong lifespan.”

3. Chrysanthemum can eliminate internal heat, dry mouth, body, heat, dry eyes or pain and numbness of limbs resulted from wind, coldness or damp.

4. Chrysanthemum can eliminate internal effective for treatment of eye fatigue and blurred vision. In China, it has long been known been since ancient times that chrysanthemum can protect the health of eyes.
